StreamPing — Terms of Service

Rules and conditions for using the StreamPing Discord bot

Last updated: September 14, 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By inviting or using StreamPing (the "Bot") in your Discord server, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, remove the Bot from your server immediately.

2. Use of the Bot

StreamPing is provided "as is" and is intended to notify Discord servers when registered Twitch streamers go live.

  • You must not use the Bot for illegal, harmful, or abusive activities.
  • Do not attempt to reverse-engineer or modify the Bot's core systems.
  • You are responsible for managing configurations (channels, roles, mappings) on your server.

3. Data Collection

Minimal data is stored and used only to provide bot features.

Stored data may include:
  • Discord Server ID (guild_id)
  • Discord User IDs linked to Twitch usernames
  • Twitch usernames
  • Notification channel ID and live role ID
  • Per-server max_streamers setting

We do not collect passwords or payment information. Data is retained to provide the service and can be removed on request by removing the bot from your server or contacting support.

4. Service Availability

The Bot may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or outages. We make reasonable efforts to keep the Bot online but do not guarantee 24/7 uptime.

Important: Twitch API rate limits and external provider outages may affect notifications.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the creators of StreamPing will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Bot.

You use the Bot at your own risk.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to remove the Bot from any server or disable access for users who violate these Terms or misuse the Bot. You may remove the Bot from your server at any time.

7. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated periodically. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use after changes indicates acceptance of the updated Terms.
